Festivals, Vrat & Important Days — Unified 2026

Unified dataset: 744 unique festival, vrat and important-day entries are combined from the two supplied 2026 calendars. Daily Panchang calculations, date navigation, location-aware timings and the interactive monthly calendar are retained from the Panchang source.
Location-aware Panchang: Panchang timings depend on geographical location, sunrise and sunset. Allow location access for a more relevant local calculation. Festival dates can also vary by regional tradition, sunrise rules and local Panchang conventions. The offline astronomical layer is calculation-based and should be cross-checked with a trusted local Panchang for ritual-critical timings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Panchang is a traditional Hindu calendar system based on five principal elements: Vara, Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana. It is used to understand lunar dates, religious observances and auspicious or inauspicious timings.
Sunrise, sunset, moonrise, moonset and several daily Muhurat calculations depend on geographical coordinates and local time. Therefore a Panchang calculated for Delhi can differ from one calculated for Mumbai, London or New York.
Tithi represents a lunar day, Nakshatra represents the Moon's position against the lunar constellations, Yoga is calculated from the combined positions of the Sun and Moon, and Karana represents half of a Tithi.
Rahu Kalam is traditionally treated as an inauspicious period of the day. Its local timing is derived from the day's sunrise and sunset and varies according to weekday and location.
Abhijit Muhurat is traditionally considered an auspicious period around local midday. Its exact timing changes with the local length of the day.
